Peanuts with garlic, lime and chilli
Peanuts toasted in a pan with garlic and lime, the Mexican bar snack that gets its characteristic heat from the spicy salt.

Ingredients
- 300 g raw shelled peanuts
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 3 garlic cloves, sliced
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp Xalte Spicy salt
Method
- 1Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium-low heat and toast the peanuts for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often, until golden.
- 2Add the garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, until golden but not burnt.
- 3Take off the heat, pour in the lime juice and stir until it evaporates.
- 4Sprinkle over the Xalte Spicy salt, mix and leave to cool so that they turn crisp.
